How to Find Sex Offender Information in Floyd County
The Floyd County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) provides free information on sex offenders registered in the county. Interested persons may search the FCSO's Offender Watch by name, area, internet name or email address, and phone number. Details available on each Floyd County sex offender include a full name, aliases, registration number, and several physical descriptors. The search result also displays the offender's address, offense information, last verification date, and a photograph. The FCSO also allows interested persons to track each offender. How to Find Floyd County Inmate Records
The Floyd County Sheriff's Office operates the Floyd County Jail and only allows video visits. Each interested person must either register online or pre-register in person at the Visitor Kiosk in the Jail Visitation Lobby. The lobby is open every day, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. The pre-registration requirement only applies to each person's first visit. Returning visitors may schedule visits using an email address and password. Each person must schedule the visit a minimum of 12 hours and a maximum of seven days in advance.
The Floyd County Jail offers access to remote and on-site video visits. Persons for on-site video visits must arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Each visitor must present a state-issued photo ID to the Visitation Clerk. Visitations are from 8:25 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and 1:25 p.m. to 4:20 p.m. every day. Each visit has a 20-minute limit. Note that inmates that have been at the facility for less than 24 hours are not eligible for visits.
The county also has the Floyd County Prison, operated by the Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC), which houses state offenders that have been sentenced in court. Visitations to the prison are restricted to Saturdays, Sundays, and Georgia holidays. On each day, visitations begin at 9:00 a.m. and end at 1:00 p.m.. All visitors must arrive at the facility latest by 11:45 a.m. before the gates are locked.
Intending visitors, including children, must complete an application and verification process before approval. Inmates may only review their visitation lists in May and November. All visitors must turn in requested documents by the end of May or the end of November. Note that persons already on inmate visitation lists are not required to re-apply if the inmate is moved from one GDC facility to another. Upon arrival for a visit, the visitor must present valid photo ID, such as a driver's license with a picture or a photo ID card from the Department of Public Safety. This is required for all visitors who are at least 16 years old.
Visitors may not bring in food or drinks and will be allowed a maximum of $20 in coins, usable on the facilities vending machines. Visitors must wear clothing not considered revealing, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate. All persons visiting the Floyd County Prison will be searched upon entry.
